Ministry of Mining of Chile : ウィキペディア英語版
Ministry of Mining (Chile)
The Ministry of Mining ((スペイン語:Ministerio de Minería)) is the cabinet-level administrative office in charge of matters related to mining in Chile.
The mining sector contributed 16.4% of Chile's gross domestic product in 2009, 14,157 billion pesos, mostly from copper mining.〔.〕
Since July 2011 the Minister of Mining is Hernán de Solminihac Tampier . His predecessor was Laurence Golborne (since 2010) who headed on behalf of the government the successful efforts to rescue the 33 miners of the August 2010 Copiapó mining accident. Thanks to that success his approval rating surpassed that of President Piñera, reaching 91% from the depths of obscurity of 2% when entering the Ministry as an obscure engineer and vastly improving his electability for the 2013 presidential elections .〔(Adimark: Laurence Golborne se convirtió en el ministro mejor evaluado )〕
